Unit Overview
Each EEI Curriculum unit starts with a unit Overview that provides a general description of the unit and an "At a Glance" section that gives you a peek into the focus of each lesson. This section also identifies the California Content Standards for which the unit was designed. For History/Social Science, the standards shown are still relevant. However, for science units, the standard(s) reflect the 1998 Science Standards, which have subsequently been replaced with the California Next Generation Science Standards. A gold starburst near the standards box includes a link to correlation guides for California Common Core and NGSS, respectively. This section also identifies the Environmental Principles and Concepts addressed in the unit.
