, an EEI Curriculum unit where students explore an engaging reader about animal life cycles. They consider why these cycles are, in fact, vital to the survival of all species. By introducing this subject matter in the context of humans’ dependence on healthy natural systems, students see that plant and animal reproduction helps feed them, keep them warm, and shelter them. Furthermore, they understand humans’ place in the system.

The EEI Curriculum consists of 40 science and 45 history-social science instructional units that were approved by the State Board of Education in 2010. Visit the EEI Home page http://californiaeei.org/ to learn more about the EEI Curriculum.
